5 weeks old already!

Little Bit, and I use that term lightly, is now 5 weeks old! It is truly amazing how the days get away from us and they just get big so fast! All of us girls made our trek over to the pediatrician yesterday for Amelia's 3 year old exam and Alivia's 1 month check up. It was as eventful as you could expect a doctor's visit to be with 3 kids and one grown up! Amelia is of course perfect as usual, except for that broken arm thing, and Miss Alivia is just as big as I expected! She weighed in at a whopping 12 pounds 6.5 ounces and 23 inches long! Holy chunker! The doctor said that I should fully expect her to NOT sleep as well due to the fact that most babies her size are quite a bit older and usually starting solids. Due to the fact that she is barely a month old, we clearly can't do that yet, so she more than likely will continue to wake through the night for a bit because she will need extra to sustain all of that chunkiness! She seems to be coming down with her very first stuffy nose, so that is no fun, but I am sure that it will pass soon!

doing the usual....

This is just too funny, and I love the look on her face here!

love those lips!

She LOVES her bath!

Three peas in a pod

Okay - so dressing two girls alike has always been entirely too much fun for me, but three? Seriously it is just the cutest thing ever!

Fourth of July - Family, Friends, Fireworks, and Fun!

After our trip to the Emergency room, we HAD to continue on with our plans to see fireworks that evening. Amelia told every nurse at the hospital that we were going to see fireworks, and that Nana was coming! So arm set, and sling in place we headed to Nana's house to pick up Addisyn who stayed with Paw Paw during our ER adventure and back to the house to get dressed and loaded up for the evening. We headed up to Kennesaw at the recomendation of Ms. Leslie to join the festivities at their church, Kennesaw First Baptist. For a mere $3 TOTAL, we ALL had drinks, hot dogs, and chips, and watermelon and sno cones to boot! Can't beat that! they had tons of inflatables for the kids to play on, which was a bit sad for Amelia. she was a champ though. Addisyn sweetly asked her if it was okay if she went play without her and Amelia happily obliged. Addisyn said to me, "Mommy, is it okay if I go jump now? Baby says it's okay." So nana took her to jump while Amelia enjoyed her sno cone. We were so blessed to be able to spend the entire evening with so many of our wonderful friends from preschool at Lost Mountain Baptist. While driving through the town square we saw Ms. Mysti (Addisyn's teacher) and Millie's boyfriend Noah, who came over to say hi once we found our spot, and while we were parking we ran into Melissa and her daughter Kaylee, who was also in Amelia's class. We were able to join Amelia's sweet teacher Ms. Lisa and her family on their blanket to eat and enjoy the evening. We also ran into Addisyn's other teacher Ms. Wendy, and some friends from my mom's church that we hadn't seen in years! It was really a great time and I am already looking forward to next year!

Ms. Lisa feeding Millie some sno cone. You'd have to be blind to not see how much she loves my baby.

I love this picture of Alivia and her daddy

"Hey, Millie! I got a great idea! Wanna shoulder ride?"

So the big girls decided that it would be a GREAT idea for Addisyn to give Amelia a shoulder ride. Seeing as Addisyn weighs about 8 pounds more than Amelia, this whole plan did not work out to Amelia's advantage. I heard them hit the floor and looked up to find them in a heap with Amelia screaming hysterically as you can well imagine. Off to the emergency room we went, where Amelia completely stole the show as usual. she loved riding in the wheel chair and was a champ for the whole thing. She is so proud of her "purple like Barney" cast, and it is not slowing her down one little bit! It's not all bad, though! Her new purple accessory has created a hinderance when it comes to sucking her thumb! I am hoping that after a few more weeks with this cast the habit will be officially a thing of the past!

In the ER - looking so very proud of herself....

the damage...

Once again so very proud of her new purple accessory.
